A Very Happy UN Birthday!

We had a rather superb day. It was Braedyn Lee Alder's very first Birthday Party. It was absolutely perfect! We had lunch, talked and opened presents with our wonderful families. It's hard to believe that one year ago, this precious angel entered our lives. Well... almost one year ago. On the 14th I can actually say "One Year Ago."

Braedyn found the balloons to be a completely wonderful new invention.

"Mommy made me a Birthday hat, but for some reason it just won't stay on."

NOT THE THIRD BUT THE FOURTH...

The fourth of July came and went, but not without a little bit of fun first... Actually a lot of fun!!! Our day started when Scot and Amy arrived, early in the morning so that we could all enjoy the Parade in Woodruff, ten minutes from our house. I have to say, I do believe it will become a tradition for us. We enjoyed the parade... and oh yeah, since when have you seen a parade go one direction, turn around and come back? We truly saw it coming and going!!!

I'm surprised I got a picture of Braedyn with the Hat on.

Next... onto Bear Lake. It was a complete and total blast! It wasn't Braedyn's first time at the Beach, but it was definetely the first time that he "ENJOYED" it. We pitched our screen tent, set up our chairs and had the "BESTEST" time. The weather was perfect and the company better. Braedyn had a great time with his new sand toys and believe it or not... he didn't even eat any sand, at least not any that he digested. The water was a perfect temperature, so that we could all have fun.






After a Wet and Sandy Afternoon at the Lake, we headed back to Randolph for a delicious BBQ and Fireworks. It was all we could do to keep ourselves awake late enough to do fireworks, but we made it. I have to admit though... I don't think I have been that tired since Braedyn was a Newborn.

Even though it was late... We Truly SPARKLED!!!

At the end of a VERY FUN-FILLED day... we all CRASHED, but how cute is this little crasher?

JUST PEACHY!!!

Sometimes in life you just have to get messy,so I figured... no better time than the present. Braedyn has been eager lately to feed himself so I decided today was the day. Apparently... Peach Yogurt was a BIG HIT!!!

Sometimes life gives us moments to reflect on what it's all about... and Father's Day was just another one of those moments.

On July 14th, 2008 David Lee Alder became a Father, a FANTASTIC Father might I add. I could not ask for a better Father for Braedyn. He loves Braedyn and cares for him to the enth degree. When you look at the two of them together, you know in your heart that it is a mutual LOVE.

For Father's Day, Braedyn (with a little help) made his Daddy a special tie...

A ONE OF A KIND you might say.

A Great Day for a Great Day!!!

The clouds finally broke and the rain dispersed... and let me re-emphasize, FINALLY! So, what did the Randolph Alders do? We went for a drive to Wyoming. Granted, we drive to Wyoming at least once a week but this drive was a little different. We headed East on I-80 and drove to Little America... the original Little America for those of you who didn't know. It was a nice drive with sunny, dry skies. While we were there we took the opportunity to let Braedyn explore the playground. If you can't tell... I think he enjoyed himself.

Daddy... I think I can handle this.

Am I doing this right? I don't think I'm moving, but this sure is fun!

Life Study...

Life truly is an amazing adventure...

We noticed the Robins in our yard continually flying to the same pine tree. Lo and behold... we found a nest. By the time we found the nest it held four little babies. We took several pictures and at first, we were tolerated. It was kind of strange actually... the older the birds, the more protective the parents.
