A nice Summer Drive... SPLAT!!
Our little family enjoys little drives out in the country once in awhile... you know, it's peaceful, relaxing and it gives you a chance to get back in touch with nature.
So... we took off yesterday around noon, heading towards Ogden over Monte Cristo. It's par for the course to hit a few bugs on the trip, but we were unlucky enough to run through a migration of PAINTED LADIES. (Butterflies) Well... Splat ensued!!!

A DAY OF FIRSTS!
July 14th, 2009 was certainly a day of Firsts for Braedyn. His very FIRST Birthday. It kind of felt like a repeat of Saturday, but it was fun nonetheless. Our Niece Erin is spending the week with us, so we asked her to make todays Birthday cake... She did a fabulous job. How often does a little boy get two birthday cakes?
Mommy and Daddy gave me this cool Barn, chalk full of animals. I think I'm going to have lots of fun with this one.
Since it was a day of Firsts, we figured we'd go all out and give Braedyn his very FIRST haircut. The only reaction he had was to the ticklish clippers. It's amazing how grown-up he looks with just a little haircut.

A Very Happy UN Birthday!
We had a rather superb day. It was Braedyn Lee Alder's very first Birthday Party. It was absolutely perfect! We had lunch, talked and opened presents with our wonderful families. It's hard to believe that one year ago, this precious angel entered our lives. Well... almost one year ago. On the 14th I can actually say "One Year Ago."

NOT THE THIRD BUT THE FOURTH...
The fourth of July came and went, but not without a little bit of fun first... Actually a lot of fun!!! Our day started when Scot and Amy arrived, early in the morning so that we could all enjoy the Parade in Woodruff, ten minutes from our house. I have to say, I do believe it will become a tradition for us. We enjoyed the parade... and oh yeah, since when have you seen a parade go one direction, turn around and come back? We truly saw it coming and going!!!
Waiting for the Parade to start...
Born in the U.S.A.
I'm surprised I got a picture of Braedyn with the Hat on.
Next... onto Bear Lake. It was a complete and total blast! It wasn't Braedyn's first time at the Beach, but it was definetely the first time that he "ENJOYED" it. We pitched our screen tent, set up our chairs and had the "BESTEST" time. The weather was perfect and the company better. Braedyn had a great time with his new sand toys and believe it or not... he didn't even eat any sand, at least not any that he digested. The water was a perfect temperature, so that we could all have fun.
After a Wet and Sandy Afternoon at the Lake, we headed back to Randolph for a delicious BBQ and Fireworks. It was all we could do to keep ourselves awake late enough to do fireworks, but we made it. I have to admit though... I don't think I have been that tired since Braedyn was a Newborn.

Even though it was late... We Truly SPARKLED!!!
At the end of a VERY FUN-FILLED day... we all CRASHED, but how cute is this little crasher?
JUST PEACHY!!!
